Fall and Early Winter 2022

Welcome to Michael  Castillo's Kitchen.  We have had a great time over the summer and finished up our hiatus with a cruise to Alaska. Wow! what a spectacular place.

If you have been with us for our past seasons you know we have done some  interesting themes Yotam Ottolenghi's book Flavor, various cuisines of Europe and the United States. For this fall and early winter we will turn our focus to the homestyle recipes that invite us to the table.

We are also changing our class schedule this fall. You can look forward to two classes a month which we will have posted very soon. We will still keep our two o'clock time frame.

Enjoy the last of summer and we will see you on Saturday, September 17th and two in the afternoon.

Upcoming Events

  • Raviolo with Chicken of the Woods and Cauliflower Fungus
    Oct 15, 2:00 PM – Oct 16, 3:00 PM
Join me as we make this inventive raviolo. This is not the traditional sealed raviolo but a layered dish with the wonderful taste of mushrooms.
  • Oyster Potato Tartlets
    Sat, Nov 05
    Nov 05, 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM EDT
This beautiful little tartlet makes a great first course or light lunch. Of course it's probably best if you like oysters, as I do.
  • Hunter's-Style Rabbit Risotto
    Nov 19, 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM EST
This risotto dish is perfect on a cold winter's day. I love the flavor of rabbit, however, you can substitute chicken if you like.

Some of my favorite kitchen pieces.
